Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies
We use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect and use personal information about you, including to serve targeted advertisements.
A “cookie” is a small text file that websites send to a visitor’s computer or other device to identify the visitor’s browser or to store data or settings in the browser. A “web beacon” (also known as an Internet tag, pixel tag or clear GIF) links web pages to web servers and cookies and may be used to transmit information collected through cookies back to a web server.
We use these and other technologies to collect information for the purposes described above under “Information We Collect and How We Use It.” The information we collect using cookies and web beacons includes data such as your IP address and browsing actions. We may use this data to display ads that you see online within the Services and off of the Services.
Third parties that support the Services by serving advertisements or providing services such as analytics may also use these technologies to collect similar information. Third party advertisers and analytics providers who deliver ads or provide analytics services may have access to their own cookies or web beacons that they use in the delivery of the advertisements they place and to collect analytics information.
You have choices to limit the collection of certain information by third parties and through cookies and web beacons. Please see the Third Party Advertising section below for more information. In addition, most browsers let you remove or reject cookies and web beacons. To do this, follow the instructions in your browser settings. If you remove or reject cookies and web beacons, it may affect your ability to use all of the features offered through the Services.
How We Share and Disclose Information
We do not sell or rent your personal information to marketers or third parties. However, we may disclose the information we collect from and about you as described below or otherwise disclosed at the time you provide your personal information:

- Advertising Partners: We may share your personal information with third party advertising companies to target and serve some of the advertisements you see on the Services and other websites and services. These companies may place and access cookies, pixels or other tracking technologies on your device to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites and services to provide you with advertisements that may be relevant to your interests. To learn more about these practices and your choices, please visit the Third Party Advertising section below.
- Corporate Affiliates: We may share your personal information with any parents, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control with us (“Affiliates”) for business, operational and marketing purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy. We require Affiliates to agree to terms no less restrictive than this Privacy Policy.
- Business Transfers: As we continue to develop our business, we may sell, merge or partner with other companies or businesses, or sell some or all of our assets. In such transactions, including the negotiation of a potential transaction, your information may be among the transferred assets or shared with prospective or actual purchasers.
- Legal Compliance and Security; Protection of Pj Mark and Others: We may disclose your information (i) if we are required to do so by law, regulation or legal process (such as a court order or subpoena); (ii) in response to requests by government agencies, such as law enforcement authorities or immigration officials; (iii) to establish, exercise or defend our legal rights; (iv) when we believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to prevent physical or other harm, injury or financial loss; (v) in connection with an investigation of suspected or actual illegal activity; or (vi) otherwise with your consent.

- Aggregate and De-Identified Data: We may also share aggregate, anonymous or de-identified information with third parties for marketing, advertising, research or similar purposes.
Third Party Advertising, Analytics and Social Media Features
The Services may integrate with social sharing features and other related tools that let you share actions you take on our Services with other media. We may engage and work with third parties to serve advertisements through the Services and/or on third party websites and applications. In doing so, we or the third parties may place cookies and other tracking technologies in order to (i) deliver advertisements, content and features relevant to your interests and (ii) measure and analyze the delivery and effectiveness of such advertisements, content and features.
We adhere to the Digital Advertising Alliance principles for self regulation by online behavioral advertising. Through the settings on your devices, third party services and platforms or your choices described in this Privacy Policy, you can exercise choices regarding the collection of information about your online activities over time and across different online services and devices for the purpose of delivering targeted advertising to you. You have choices to opt out of targeted advertising delivered by participating companies. See the Opting Out of Targeted Advertising section below for details.
The Services also contain social media features, such as the Facebook Like button. Our integration of these features may allow the third party that provides them to collect information about your use of the Services and other websites and online services over time and across different services. These features operate independently from our Services and are governed by the privacy policies of the companies that provide them.
Opting Out of Targeted Advertising
We adhere to the following self-regulatory principles for targeted advertising:
- Notice — We strive to provide clear descriptions of our data collection and use practices.
- Choice — We offer opt out mechanisms so you can exercise choice regarding the collection of information about your online activities for purposes of targeted advertising. You can opt out by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt out page at https://optout.aboutads.info.
- Data Security — We aim to maintain reasonable safeguards to protect the information collected for targeted advertising. However, no program can fully eliminate security risks.
- Sensitive Data — We strive to limit our targeted advertising without collecting or using sensitive personal information such as information about children or certain health or financial data.
- Accountability — We aim to comply with the Digital Advertising Alliance’s Self-Regulatory Principles for Online Behavioral Advertising.
In addition, you may be able to exercise choices to opt out of targeted advertising delivered by certain third party vendors by visiting the Network Advertising Initiative opt out page at https://www.networkadvertising.org/choices/ or the following sites:
- Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/settings/?tab=ads
- Google: https://www.google.com/settings/ads/anonymous
These choices may be limited, however, as opting out does not always prevent all forms of targeted advertising. You may continue to receive non-targeted ads based on various factors such as your device, operating system or app version. Opting out only means that those opted out companies should no longer deliver targeted ads to you, but it does not mean you will no longer see any advertising through the Services. Also, if your browsers are configured to reject cookies when you visit these opt-out webpages, or you subsequently erase your cookies, use a different device or browser, or use a non-browser-based method of access, your opt-out choices may not be honored.
Information about your opt outs will be shared across devices and browsers so that you only have to opt out once. Opting out may not fully prevent information collection for all purposes, such as fraud prevention.
Accessing, Reviewing and Changing Your Personal Information
You can see, review and change most of your personal information by logging into the Services and accessing your account profile page and settings. We take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting access to your account and making corrections.
You can also contact us to access, review, update or correct your personal information, to opt-out of marketing communications or submit requests as further detailed in the Contact Us section. Please provide as much information as possible to help us identify your information and properly respond. We may be unable to accommodate certain requests to access, delete or otherwise restrict processing of some of your personal information when it would conflict with our vital business interests, legal or other compliance obligations. For example, we cannot delete transactional data that has been collected for accuracy or fulfill any legal requirements.
You can ask us to close your account by emailing us at [email protected]. When you close your account, we take steps designed to prevent unauthorized parties from accessing your information, while also removing details that help identify you or associate you with your account. However, we may retain personal information from closed accounts to comply with law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, analyze or troubleshoot programs, enforce our terms, or take other actions permitted by law.
We follow reasonable procedures to help verify identities, honor requests and comply with applicable law before granting access to personal information or making changes to an account or personal information.
Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as you maintain an open account with us in order to meet business needs, comply with legal requirements, resolve disputes and enforce agreements. When you close your account, we may continue to communicate with you about our Services, give you important business notifications, and respond to any pending inquiries or complaints.
We will then either delete your personal information or de-identify it so that it is anonymous and not attributed to your identity. However, we cannot always completely remove or delete all your information because of technological constraints, residual and backup copies, or records retention obligations. As such, we may retain de-identified information after account deletion to comply with law, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, troubleshoot issues, assist with investigations, enforce applicable terms of service, or take other appropriate actions permitted by law.
Security of Your Information
We use reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards in an effort to protect your personal information from unauthorized access and use. This includes measures to secure access to systems where we store personal information and limit access to personal information only to authorized employees and contractors who need that access for purposes consistent with this Privacy Policy.
However, no company, including Pj Mark, can fully eliminate all security risks associated with personal information. As such, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties will never defeat our security measures or use your personal information for improper purposes. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.
Children’s Privacy
We do not knowingly collect or solicit any personal information from children under the age of 13 through the Services without parental consent. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under age 13 without parental consent, we will delete that information as quickly as possible. If you believe that a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at [email protected].
California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have rights under California law, including the California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 (“CCPA”), regarding your personal information.
You have the right to know what categories of personal information we collect, use and disclose about you. You also have the right to request that we delete certain information we collect from you (with some exceptions), not sell your personal information to third parties, and disclose to you personal information we have collected, disclosed and sold about you within the last 12 months.
To exercise your California privacy rights, please submit your request(s) by either:
- Emailing us at: [email protected]
- Calling us at 123-456-7890
In your request, please provide your name, street address, city, state and zip code. Please indicate in your request whether you are seeking access, deletion or opt-out, or whether you are seeking disclosures as a sale, each as described above. Depending on your request, we may ask you for additional information to verify your identity.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the CCPA. However, we may charge a different price, rate, level or quality of goods or services if the difference is reasonably related to the value provided by your data. We aim to respond to requests within 45 days, but we may require additional time to process your request, in which case we will notify you.
International Transfers
Pj Mark is based in the United States. Please be aware that information we collect through the Services will be transferred to and processed in the United States. If you are located outside the United States, your information may be transferred to the U.S., where data protection and privacy laws may not be equivalent to laws in your country of residence.
By using the Services or providing any personal information to us, you consent to this transfer, processing and storage of your information in the United States. You are responsible for complying with the laws of your jurisdiction and agree that you will not hold us liable for your own failure to comply with any law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make any material changes, we will notify you by email (using your email address of record), by means of notice through the Services, or as otherwise required by applicable law. Please review this policy periodically for changes.
Any changes to the Privacy Policy become effective when posted unless indicated otherwise. Your continued use of the Services after the effectiveness of any changes constitutes acceptance of those changes.
